Execution and Logistics to Perfection

The permanent exhibition “Level Green” in Autostadt, with 25 exhibits across six thematic areas, demonstrates the impact of sustainable actions on the environment.

In coordination with the responsible architects and specialist planners, we took on the roles of workshop planning, project planning, production, logistics, and interface management during the exhibition expansion. The highest quality standards, a tight schedule, and the integration into an existing structure presented significant challenges. The tolerances for replacement parts within the existing structure had to be of the highest quality.

The structural realization took place behind the scenes: daily operations in Autostadt had to continue without restrictions, and visitors were not to perceive any construction activities.

The client placed the highest value on sustainable construction methods and compliance with applicable fire protection regulations. The precise fit of all components during replacement was paramount.

The elaborate and precise manufacturing from wood-based materials, with integrated steel cores required for static reasons, as well as the surface coating along with interactive printed and curved glass surfaces, make the exhibits unique.

The structural realization took place behind the scenes during daily operations. The exhibits were produced just in time at the home location, painted in Wolfsburg and Braunschweig, and then transported to Autostadt for assembly and precisely fitted.
